Araldica Ca'Di Ponti, Nero d'Avola, Sicily, Italy
Readers rated this wine:
Rustic, fresh, savoury.
Araldica is a third-generation, family-operated co-operative based in Piedmont. They work with over 230 Piedmont grower members and produce the high quality Piedmont wines from the most prestigious winegrowing DOC and DOCG regions including Barbera, Gavi, Langhe, Moscato, Barolo, Barbaresco, Monferrato and Roero. They also make wines in a number of other Italian regions, such as this one from Sicily.
Muddled earth, wild berries and prune plums, toasted spices, cocoa and wild herbal aromas lead to a fresh palate that echos the nose. Wild and rustic with dark cocoa, espresso, charred spices and toasted flavours it's a wine to partner with hearty pastas, roasted meats and grilled vegetables. ©copyright 2020 Daenna Van Mulligen
